Bestwood II Quarry

Welcome to Bestwood II Quarry

Bestwood II Quarry is a long-standing local quarry producing Sherwood Sandstone, an essential building material used across Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands.

Operated by Tarmac, the site has been active since 1947 and continues to supply high-quality aggregates for roads, homes and infrastructure.

We’re proud to be part of the local area, supporting jobs, investing in the environment and contributing to the community through volunteering, sponsorship and donations.

This website is here to keep you informed – from how the site operates to how we’re restoring the land, our efforts to boost biodiversity and how we’re playing our part in the communities around us.
